Candle holders CARA

Solid and robust looks the stone pillar candle holders CARA made of German Jurassic slate. Two opposite sides of the candle holders reflect the typical surface of the slate, the other two sides have an irregular structure carved by hand. As a contrast, the top is very smoothly polished and shows the layers of the slate.
For a safe hold of the candles is the stainless steel insert, which is for pillar candles up to Ø max.10 cm. In candle holders set with 2 or 3 different sizes you create an atmospheric warm light that becomes an eye-catcher.
The slate chosen by uccellino comes from Germany and due to its composition and formation is not an oil shale, but an asphalt gray to deep black bituminous mudstone from the early Jurassic. Due to the many small shell inclusions, also called Posidonia, each candle holder becomes unique.
