Decorative bowls - Jewels for your decoration
Even when the complete flat furnishings have been set up, we still need deco items to create a really cosy atmosphere. Vases on the chest of drawers, pictures on the wall, lanterns on the terrace or decorative bowls in the living room - decoration brings a home to life and gives your rooms an individual character. Decorative bowls create a lot of cosiness, because they usually have a very special effect even without contents and underline the desired style of living with their shape and material. They decorate every dining and living room table, but also in the hallway as a practical shelf for keys or other small items they are often used. Whether as a single piece of decoration or in a multi-part set - the decorative bowls are also effective in combination with candles, flowers or potpourris. Nuts, fruit and sweets can also be arranged in an appetising way.
Decorative bowls - Design & Material
The selection of decorative bowls ranges from classic, robust, filigree to modern, depending on the design and the intended use. The material plays a decisive role. Decorative bowls made of unvarnished wood are very popular, they look rather robust and bring a natural touch. The filigree variant is mainly found in stainless steel and aluminium - they usually lend a noble and elegant touch, especially when the surface is polished. Opulent bowls are mostly made of transparent glass or ceramic, which is often hand-painted. Stone bowls, on the other hand, have a restrained and natural look and are the perfect complement to furnishings with a lot of wood.
Round shapes are often found for wood, glass and ceramics, and usually have a softer and more harmonious effect than angular shapes. Square decorative bowls score points with their straight-lined design and predominantly have a very modern effect. The mix of angular bowls with round objects such as mandarins, tea lights or nuts creates a special contrast between the outer shape and the contents.
Tip: Mix materials and shapes in a room to create contrasts and deliberate breaks in style.
Not every material is suitable for a curved bowl, which can be filled higher than flat bowls. Deep, round bowls work well for nibbles and fruit. Flat bowls provide a plain base and are therefore well suited as a candle tray, a decorative saucer or for serving food on a set festive table.
At uccellino you will find stone bowls made of different types of stone in flat and curved shapes, which as floor bowls, fruit bowls and decorative bowls set beautiful accents even without contents and personalise your living spaces.
